EVENTS ASSISTANT

Waikato Region, New Zealand

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a front of house role set on a beautiful Estate in the Waikato region of New Zealand.

Offering world class Equestrian facilities, Boutique accomodation, Wedding venues, Garden tours and Wine tasting.

You will be responsible for the Bar operation during the show jumping events, and be available for any other special events throughout the year.

Responsibilities
• Beverage stock and inventory management
• Opening bar
• Setting up / managing the Point of Sale system
• Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Practice safe food handling - garnishes
• Clean and sanitise areas of work regularly
• Clean and sanitise customers tables regularly
• Collecting and appropriately disposing of rubbish
• Final clean down of all working areas at the end of the day
• Always working towards improving the overall sustainability of the Estate
• Most importantly, build a great rapport with customers ensuring service with a smile every time
Health and safety
• Follow all Estate Health and Safety procedures to ensure yours and others’ safety at all times • Ensure that personal protective equipment is worn when required
• Report all accidents/near misses immediately
• Identify any hazards in your work area and report to your supervisor immediately

Qualifications and/or experience required
• Inventory Management
• Mixology experience an advantage but not necessary
• Respectful and Honest
• Positive friendly attitude
• Strong initiative with the ability to work independently
• Great attention to detail

This is a full time position
45 hours per week
Salary DOE
4 weeks leave per year
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in New Zealand
